Vanilla and Orange Blossom Bugnes

Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 50 g butter
  • 25 g granulated sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • Orange blossom water
  • 1 g Vanilla Heart Bouquet
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Mix flour, eggs, sugar, softened butter, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Form a smooth ball. Add flour if sticky.
  2. Rest: Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Shaping: Roll dough to 5 mm thick. Cut rectangles and slit each center.
  4. Cooking: Heat oil to 180 °C. Fry until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Finishing: Once cooled, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
